Last night took me to Hollywood to party and shop a pop up store at Space 15 Twenty. There were several great groups involved in it--Racked LA, Designers + Artists (DNA), and Hearty magazine--so I was excited to go. I'm really impressed by DNA, which is a collective of various artists. They join together in these pop up shops, which gives artists wonderful exposure and shoppers the opportunity to check out future trends and meet some fantastic fashion talents. The event was well run, well attended, and everyone had a great time. I loved meeting everybody and sharing a bit about GlamAmor!

"I love your dress!": 1950s citron and lace Miss Elliette cotton swing dress, 1960s black patent leather handbag, black leather Charles David stiletto heels, 1960s onyx and silver bangle bracelet, silver hoop earrings
Last time I wore different accessories with this dress. This time I wanted black to be the main accent color, so I included the Charles David leather strappy stilettos and the onyx vintage bracelet to pick up the accent of black in the outfit. Essie's Waltz manicure. Essie's Watermelon polish on toes.

Unnur and her fabulous clutches, one of the many tempting purchases of the evening.

Shoes and shoes and shoes indeed
Shoes absolutely filled the rooms, starting with the ones sold at LA Vintage Exchange
Everyone wore wonderful shoes as well. Platforms were a big look of the evening. I love how this gal paired wooden platforms with white anklets. And her cute vintage minidress was well matched against the warm tropical wind that kept blowing through the courtyard. Her glam red lip and short hair reminded me of a modern Edie Sedgewick. That hair cut is actually close to a style I wore a while ago. Love the combination on her.
Yet another tempting purchase of the evening was those vintage inspired bathing suits she's looking at. Aren't they great?
Another shoe trend of the evening were glamorous sandals, usually paired with a breezy beachy dress and oversized bag. I should say that this may be a trend in other parts of the country, but here I find it to be more a way of living. We do live near the beach, it is usually warm (this night was especially so), and we're outdoors a lot. Thus I would say it's become one of the quintessential Los Angeles casual looks. The dresses range from maxi to mini, as with the girls below.
And of course, LA does denim. This girl does it right. Beachy hair, a plain white razorback tank top, oversized bag (love hers in that butter yellow leather with just the right detail), fitted light blue jeans. Love the jewelry and even love the texture of whatever it is that she's carrying. Thumbs up.
The place was lit with a warm glow throughout the balmy evening
It was a great night!
