GlamAmor at September's A Current Affair

There is no doubt about it...this edition of the boutique vintage extravaganza A Current Affair (ACA) was by far the best one yet.  It was the biggest show, with more vendors than ever before who all brought their most incredible pieces.  It was also the busiest show, with crowds flooding the Cooper Design Space penthouse from the opening Saturday night to the end on Sunday.  The word has clearly gotten out and designers, stylists, bloggers, manufacturers, vintage aficionados, and fashionistas all spent a blissful weekend with us meeting, mingling, and--most importantly--shopping.  It was such a rush of activity that I couldn't capture as many photos as I normally would, but I did manage to take some before and after the biggest flurries of activity.  I have such admiration and affection for Richard Wainwright and Joey Grana, co-founders of ACA, along with all the other exhibitors at the show.  These photos give you some sense of their talent and the artistry within each of the curated collections.  As I've mentioned before, what every vendor has in common is the high quality of their clothing and the respect that what we're selling is truly art.

If you missed this show, fear not...the Holiday edition of A Current Affair takes place the weekend of December 3rd and 4th at the Cooper penthouse once again.  Hope to see you there!

Oh, Kimberly! I have to say that your booth was, without exception, the most organized and attractive (of course, I may be a bit biased!). Orange hangtags, color groupings, neat hanging, gorgeous mirror and mood-altering poster...it's all brilliantly marketed. And, to boot, the goods are fabulous! Great, great job, my friend!

Thank you so much, Kay! I take a lot of pride in my merchandising, where I package and present my vintage collection as if it was brand new clothing. People also often mistake GlamAmor's clothes for brand new and designed by me since I choose non-designer pieces of the highest quality that can be worn in a modern way. I have to say, it's great fun to watch this new shopping niche--boutique vintage--evolve and grow with GlamAmor and other vintage vendors that I deeply respect. A lot of hard work, but so rewarding and such fun!

OOo I just noticed you posted pics from my booth! Oh it's so shabby in comparison to yours, lol! I won't be selling at the Dec show, but will be attending to peruse the wares ^_^

Thanks for posting pics Kimberly!
